Houston rodeo bbq cookoff -any changes regarding carrying?

Post by cubbyjg »

has anyone gone to the cookoff in the last couple of days and seen any signs not allowing concealed carry (ie 30.06, etc)? i plan on going today and just want to make sure Im good to go since Im not driving to the event. last year i didn't see anything but there was a shooting incident so maybe something has changed. my understanding is concealed carry is allowed as long as i stay outside the stadium and i am not attending a professional sporting event.

I was there last evening and there are no signs. Very crowded so I was always wary of someone bumping into me on that side. Went into two team booths and ate a pile of great BBQ.

The best I recall, as long as you don't go into the stadium you'll be OK. Rodeoin' is a professional sport.
