Place to buy belts for CC in Dallas

Post by soonerbldr »

I'm probably about to wear out my welcome here.... However, is there some place in Dallas that stocks belts suitable for concealed carry? I know in another thread I saw a bunch of brands like Uncle Mikes and 511 as well as others. I want to order a belt from someplace like crossbreed eventually but just want something to use until then.

Yep, your welcome is wearing thin. Best leave now. (j/k)

I have a couple of hte Cabela's Double Duty belts that I really like http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/search.c ... l+Products" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. You can catch them on sale periodically for 50% off.

...best belt I've found is Wilderness Products' Instructor belt...comfortable, adjustable for when you have to disarm/arm...velcro...going on 4 years and I've sure gotten my $34 worth...prolly never wear a leather belt again...looks good, feels good, works good...

I know you're probably looking for a storefront to walk into and get something, but if you'll visit one of the gun shows in the area, there are usually three or four leather works folks that also sell good quality belts at prices much less than Crossbreed or Comp-Tac. I paid $45 ea for some great 1.5" belts, and haave been so very satisfied with them since.

For future reference.... I found this to be a quite decent IWB leather belt. I occasionally use it for OWB, but, a purpose-built "gun belt" would be better for OWB. It's $30 delivered and mine shipped out the same day I placed the order.

In nylon, I like this better than the wilderness (lighter, less bulky buckle).
Also shipped quickly. Had it in hand 5 days after ordering. YMMV

No that is a great idea, I honestly never thought of that. I just recently move back from the PRC and have not been to a gun show in probably 7 years...

1) What's a lunch break???
2) I rarely eat any more. I mostly make due with protein shakes and vitamins. Hey, I'm down 120 lbs in 6 months. I works.

I'm hoping to be able to stop off on my way back to Frisco after dropping off my patient downtown. It'll be close but I just might make it.
