More bodies in Mexico. What a shame. Why does the news media always forget to mention Mexico's strict gun laws?

Guns being banned? ..........
My response: "WHAT GUNS"?

My second response: "YES, I OWNED GUNS BUT THOSE WERE SOLD AT A GUN SHOW LONG AGO TO PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS".

My third rsponse: "GET A WARRANT". :rules:

Yeah, they went down with the boat. ;-) Yeah, that's what happened.

And we have troops in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Maybe we should help our next door neighbor before the crime crosses the border in a big way.

It will be harder after the fact.

The problem next door isn't crime per se; it's rampant corruption, which in turn allows the crime rate to stay high. Aside from taking over their military, police, and government, there's not that much we can do.

In their mind, the cartel violence is a result of lax gun laws (gun laws can never be too strict for them) - logic cannot penetrate the rigid ideology of a liberal/progressive.

We got rid of the problems in Iraq, have rebuilt the country and the government.

I have an idea we would be even more successful in Mexico. If we made it very clear what our goals were, the people of Mexico would support us. Most don’t want to leave their families to sneak into the U.S. to get work. As you say there is rampant corruption in Mexico which not only keeps the crime rate high, it results in the very rich and the very poor.

If the people had the same opportunities in Mexico as they have in this country it would be better for them and us.

Yes I am advocating we invade Mexico "taking over their military, police, and government" cleaning things up then withdrawing.

:iagree:

Be worried about what is happening next door, not on the other side of the world.

49 bodies left on highway, hardly made page one now. Got to leave them hanging from bridges to make a the headlines now.

Every news article should end with "and fire arms of any kind are banned in Mexico"

Cousin (who is a Pastor) sent me the E-mail about doctors asking if they had any guns in the house and asked how I'd answer... I said I'd say:
I don't recall ALL of the ones I own, but I know that some are in the house, at least 2 staple guns and one caulking gun, and some in the shed, at least 4 Staple guns and 3 caulking guns, because I have staple guns and caulking guns in both locations, but I don't own a nail gun, I just rent one when needed.
And, that's a true answer.
Good thing they didn't ask about Firearms ... I'd have told them that's none of their business.

so far I haven't had an MD ask me about firearms in my house, not that I can remember anyway, if they do, hmmmm I have several questions such as the one that will smith asked in the movie enemy of the state, the one about the shower.
