Status change this morning

Post by Birdie »

Finally!

Applications mailed 4/26. Received 4/28. Pending background check as of this morning. However, my paperwork shows "Fingerprints : Quality unacceptable, notice sent to applicant ". I did fingerprints on 4/24 and received an email stating those had been rejected on the 27th. I did a second set of fingerprints on 4/30. I never received any notification that the second set was bad.

I had read somewhere here on the boards that L-1 will only do fingerprints twice. Grrr. Going to start by calling L-1, and then if not satisfied will follow up with a call to DPS. Someone chime in if they have a different suggestion.

I thought the whole L-1 thing was susposed to eliminate fingerprint issues. Guess not.

Doesn't eliminate them, but it does seem to improve it. I guess, like any system, that operator ability plays a big part in it.

Husband received his CHL last week. My status flipped to manufacturing this morning . . . so the fingerprint issue may have delayed me by two weeks? We'll see how long manufacturing and mailing takes.
