Subway robbed by teens as a prank

I eat at subway a lot. Many of you have mentioned that if during a robbery you are told to get on the floor, you would take action.

The teens had their fingers in their pockets as if they had guns, but apparently they didn't.

So would this be 3 X Trayvon Martin all over again - unarmed teens killed by CHL. And you wouldn't even be injured.

Was it a prank, or did they lose their nerve and run?

Once again, I just LOVE how the onus is always on the people who would stop trouble instead of those who would start it. I, too, was a teenager once upon a time and got into trouble once or twice (imagine that)...but I would have NEVER thought to "prank" by "pretending" to rob someplace. I had respect for the law and my folks, not 100% (what teenager does) but certainly enough to not do something like that. This world would sure be a lot better off if people started teaching their kids the difference between right and wrong again...Yeah, I know, I'm old and out of touch and some sort of "bigot" for saying it...but IF those teens had gotten some holes in them for their stupidity, whose fault would it really have been? :grumble

If they pretend to have a gun or other deadly weapon while committing robbery, the laws in most (non-crazy) states treat that the same as armed robbery, aggravated robbery, or whatever they call their equivalent. Doesn't Texas do the same?

I say good riddance had they all been killed and hats off to the GG. In the end it would have sent a strong message that might have kept others from doing the same.

:iagree: Most young people these days have now respect for others. I'm still pretty young myself. I'm about to turn 23. Thankfully, i was blessed with parents that would turn my backside red if i ever got disrespectful. In my opinion, i ended up pretty good. I'm not emotionally damaged or any other crap that liberals say well disciplined children will be. I think that kids should still be held fully responsible for their actions.

Toy gun. . . water gun. . . bb gun. . . no gun at all. . . if you say (or act like) it's real, it is, and the consequences may be irreversible.

I hope somebody gets these kids' attention and explains to them how funny their joke was. . . and that they listen.

Since the actors were underage, their parents should be charged with child neglect, fined and made to attend mandatory classes on parenting until such time as their 'lil darlins' reached legal age.

...let's turn this into a learning excercise...say it happened in Texas, and you are the Prosecuting Attorney...what would you charge them with or bring to the Grand Jury as a desired charge?

I'm always armed in Subway. That could easily go south quickly.

If this happened in Texas, it's doubtful there would be a prosecuting attorney, as there probably would not be any surviving punks to prosecute.
