What If Walmart Sold 2500 Guns Illegally...?

Post by Jumping Frog »

What If Walmart Sold 2500 Guns Illegally, Walked Them into Mexico, and Hid the Documentation from Congress?
Almost immediately after the House Oversight Committee voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in Contempt of Congress, Democrats and mainstream media personalities flooded the airwaves with accusations of racism, election-year politics, and GOP attempts to get rid of Holder to protect state-level voter ID laws. Appearing on MSNBC, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) even said: “They are holding Attorney General Holder in contempt for doing his job.”

These things got me to thinking—what would these same politicians and media personalities have said if a privately-owned business had done the things our DOJ, ATF, and other government agencies did via Fast and Furious?

What if Walmart, the “largest seller of firearms and ammunition in America,” had knowingly sold 2,500 firearms to straw purchasers with the intent of having those purchasers carry those guns across an international border and sell them to drug cartel members in Mexico?

So, Holder's job is to sell guns to the Mexican drug cartels? Who knew?

Oh, Pelosi and her comrades want to maintain the FICTION that Eric Holder is a dedicated public servant. That he cares only about the well-being and security of this nation. That his people only did what they did in an effort to "fight crime". Its a NARRATIVE that they will continue to trumpet to those who cannot or will not see this administration for the leftists that they are...leftists who do NOT like mere citizens owning firearms in general, and certainly not those that can be used for protection.

This quote from Machiavelli (whatever you may think about the man and his works otherwise) still holds true , IMHO:
"When you disarm the people, you commence to offend them and show that you distrust them either through cowardice or lack of confidence, and both of these opinions generate hatred."

The media would be all over it.

The American socialist democratic party would be all over it.

Thousands of our ignorant college indoctrinated youths would be camped out "protesting" it.

Something along those lines...

ANY member of Congress who doesn't vote to charge Holder with Contempt should themselves be charged with contempt for failure to uphold their Oath of Office.

Has anyone heard anything about the states involved in F&F trying to charge DOJ personnel with anything? I am sure some state laws were broken in the process.

No, any such attempt would be futile. It would be removed to a federal court (DOJ agents carrying out job duties) & summarily dismissed - IMHO.

THIS is the exact same type of stuff that the Clintonian regime was famous for...well, along with busting into the wrong house and tearing up the place and perhaps shooting the family dog, and maybe "gaining physical compliance" from a person or two if they looked "dangerous" (because they got woken up in the middle of the night by a "no-knock" raid by the BATFE who were looking for something that wasn't there in the first place)...and meanwhile, all the commotion lets the real bad guys a couple of houses down know to get out of the area. THIS is what all those imbecilic, worthless gun control laws get you, instead of just making the penalties for using firearms during the commission of a crime a lot more serious. But, hey, that would require basing the punishment on a person's BEHAVIOR and not on something that can be used to score political points with the lunatic left. :mad5 :banghead:

I wouldn't bet against it. They are probably the largest retailer in the country, so they might sell more guns just because of the shear number of outlets even if all of them don't sell guns.
