WTS: U.S. Remington model 03-A3

Post by Chris »

I have a Remington 1903A3. Serial # 4083XXX. Barrel is marked 10-43 and is two groove style. Cartouches are all visible on the stock. Stock has a few small dings here and there. No rust or pitting. It probably sat in a ship gun locker for landing parties. It is very accurate, but it's zeroed to about 300 yards. I've put maybe 100 rounds through it since I bought it 7-8 years ago from CMP. I still have that certificate as well. Asking $750. I am in DFW, and would prefer local sale first, but not opposed to shipping if that is negotiated, AND there are no local buyers.

I can take some better pictures, but I had these on my computer. The sling is NOT original.

I wish. I sold that Kimber just after I bought a NIB XDm-45 Compact 3.8 Bitone. The Kimber money was used to replace the XDm money. I've already given the money to my wife to deposit, so I'll never see that money again.

That is beautiful! I also have one with a ladder rear sight, but a sporterized stock. My dad took the original off after he bought the rifle at a pawn shop out of a pickle barrel for $25 about 50 years ago. :grumble
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

There are probably tons out there that have been all kinds of molested. After the war you could buy one for the price of a cup of coffee. They are accurate as hell though. I would love to see what this rifle would do if it had a scope attached, but I would never bring myself to do that.
