The next guy has some clean up of the white house website to do as well. Need to go remove all the references to Obama they put into all the other Presidential bios. The Annoyed Man wrote:Not until we throw Der Führer out of office.Keith B wrote:Will it ever end? Sheesh!

I'm a "conservatarian" Republican. I'm a veteran. I'm a mechanic. I was raised out in the country. But to keep it proper for the forum, I'll just say that I'll be glad to see this guy go; go anywhere, just go away...and the money we have to pay for his pension will be a small price to see him and his sickening cronies go.74novaman wrote:The next guy has some clean up of the white house website to do as well. Sounds like he doesn't want a civilian population to be able to organize themselves with radio, cell, tweets etc in the event of an Egypt scenario here...

Re: Obama Signs Communications Order
Sounds to me like should the electorate decide to replace Obama in November, he now has the ability to prevent that information from reaching the people.

Re: Obama Signs Communications Order
Of all the things that has happened in the past 3 1/2 years, the further destruction of the public trust in government is probably the worst. Politicians have never been held in high regard by the general population but the confidence in Congress and the Presidency seem to be on an unusually low ebb. I don't remember things being this bad just before the Nixon resignation.sjfcontrol wrote:Sounds to me like should the electorate decide to replace Obama in November, he now has the ability to prevent that information from reaching the people.

It seems that all of us imagine the worst scenario with every piece of news that comes out. That speaks volumes about our overall trust in our President. If there were no other reason for him to go, that lack of trust alone could be the reason for his departure. He is a leader and to be able the lead, the people have to be willing to follow. The ranks of his followers have thinned a whole lot - even among his own party.
The Dollar Store is have a special on aluminum foil. Buy now. If this trend continues, the supermarkets will be putting foil in locked glass cases like Wal-Mart does with ammo and there will be as many empty slots.

This is extremely serious. If BHO decides there is an "emergency" he has the authority to turn all the communications facilities into state run media.

Can anyone see a nonviolent way to get him out of power before he has a chance to abuse this?
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.
Re: Obama Signs Communications Order
I agree that it is possible. It is also unlikely. I know that there are a lot of detractors of Fox News but everyone will understand the day that they start broadcasting Obama propaganda or go dark, the power of the country has been illegally usurped. Fox is the coal mine canary.karder wrote:This is extremely serious. If BHO decides there is an "emergency" he has the authority to turn all the communications facilities into state run media.
When and if that happens, I suspect that things will quickly come to a head.
There are many alternate means of communication. 'nuff said.
