This is the SAPD Press report from their facebook page....SAN ANGELO, Texas — Two men were arrested Thursday evening in a shooting incident that took place Wednesday night at a storage unit in north San Angelo, police said.
A 16-year-old girl was injured and taken to Shannon Medical Center in the incident, which was reported about
10:30 p.m. She was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
Police said when they arrived they met with a boy who identified himself as 17-year-old Joshua White. He told officers his girlfriend had been shot.
According to the police news release, the girl had “visible wounds to her arms and upper torso.”

Yesterday, July 18, 2012, at approximately 10:30 p.m., San Angelo Police were dispatched to the Freedom Mini Warehouses, 3301 Riverside Golf Club Rd., to investigate the report of a shooting victim and possible Motor Vehicle Accident. The Investigation lead to charges of Deadly Conduct for two San Angelo men.
Shortly after arriving to the scene, SAPD officers located a male and female subject standing by a 2008 Kia Spectra that had crashed into one of the storage units. The male subject identified himself as Joshua White (DOB 03-24-95) of San Angelo. He told officers that the female was his girlfriend and she had been shot. The girlfriend, identified as a sixteen (16) year old juvenile, had visible wounds to her arms and upper torso. Two additional subjects were located at the scene and identified as Bobby Bydalek (DOB 09-30-86) and Sidney Clemmer (DOB 03-19-43), both of San Angelo.

He then went on to give me a backdrop of the story,About 2 months ago I bought that gun. It was a Glock 17. (he didn't seem sure about this, but said it was a Glock 17 and that it "is the one all the police carry.") That is how I came to own a handgun in the first place. I bought it because I wanted a gun to go shoot occasionally.
The shop he is referring to was the storage unit the news article mentioned. I'm not sure how big it is.I broke up with my girlfriend (by the way, this is not the 16 year old girl who was the victim in the news articles). The break up was nasty, and she stole my credit cards and what not before she left. A few days later, my shop was broken into.
One of his hobbies is working on cars.. so he does have a ton of money invested in tools. I asked him if he reported this, and he said that he did.Whoever broke into my shop took over $10,000 in tools and stuff. They cut the lock, emptied it out, and left
This is where the story gets fuzzy.. and interesting. The first break in was a couple of days ago. I was out there again the other night when all this happened. I was working on something, and the owner of the facility, (the other person mentioned in the article, Sidney, that was accused with Bobby) was with me hanging out. It was late, and we heard something outside, so Sidney went out to see what it was. Since we had just been robbed recently, he wanted to make sure that it wasn't another thief.
Shortly after, the police arrived. I am not sure who called the cops. I'm not sure, and neither is he, when the girl got shot--whether it was in the initial barrage as the car was racing toward him, or when the car was leaving.Sidney noticed the gate to the facility was open (i'm not sure if it was locked or not.. I'm confused about this) and that this car was inside the gate. He blocked the gate with his truck. Apparently, he got scared and fired off a shot with a shotgun to scare them away (I guess this guy had a shotgun in his car), and I walked outside to see what was going on. Because of the shot, I had my handgun with me. The Kia that the kids were driving raced toward me and the shop, and I jumped out of the way, firing shots at the car. The car crashed into the shop and pinned me against the wall. The car then reversed out of the shop, and was driving away, and I continued firing.
They are in a lot of trouble....jocat54 wrote:Man, I hate this...from what I read so far (which is pretty lacking in facts) sounds like your friend and his friend might be in a lot of trouble.
Too much assuming. Unless you KNOW they took something and were escaping with it, it was simply trespassing. And, once the shot was fired, as long as they were not breaking the law, the driver had every right to try and escape, including running over someone who has a gun pointed at you and has fired.snatchel wrote:They are in a lot of trouble....jocat54 wrote:Man, I hate this...from what I read so far (which is pretty lacking in facts) sounds like your friend and his friend might be in a lot of trouble.
I dont know all the facts. I don't know which version of the story is correct. I would like to think that he had other options to get out of there before things got bad.... but I don't know.
Assuming his story is correct, he had a right to defend himself and his property--also assuming those two kids were theifs, which we don't know at this time.
On the other hand, this Sidney guy was a dummy for blocking the exit with his truck. That was a bad move.
Again, let me say this--Bobby is not a friend of mine.... I want no association with the guy other than the fact that I have met him twice, once through a mutual aquaintence, and once when he sold me a pair of sunglasses at Sunglasses Hut.
Agreed. Why would you do that? Another thing that just doesn't make sense.Commander Cody wrote:He blocked the gate with his truck. Apparently, he got scared and fired off a shot with a shotgun to scare them away
That's odd. Block the gate and scare them away.
Okay, two undercover cops at a storage facility that has had reported recent break-in.
They notice the gate has been tampered with and they see a car that doesn't belong there. There car tries to run over one of the cops and he fires at the vehicle to stop the threat.
