Here it is. Obama talked of limiting access to "assault rifles" today.

"I believe the Second Amendment guarantees an individual the right to bear arms," Obama said. "But I also believe that a lot of gun owners would agree that AK-47s belong in the hands of soldiers, not on the streets of our cities."

No, Mr. President, a lot of gun owners would not agree with that statement.

My AK hasn't hurt anyone and it will stay that way...unless bad guys try to hurt me or my loved ones. But hey, this POTUS cares so much about our rights, right? Gimme a break. He's lining up his rhetoric with the UN Arms Treaty he plans on signing, no matter how terrible it is...because the peasants don't "need" AKs...or ARs...or any other "assault weapons". Well, I think instead of axes and pokers, they might just find folks with AKs and ARs...kind of takes the fun out of oppressing citizens, huh? This is huge, and it is a good thing. The sheep are waking up, and the more people have guns, including AK/AR type weapons, the harder it will be for Obama to do anything about it.

Exactly. Romney's feet will need to be occasionally held to the fire to keep him honest, but he isn't a complete tool. Obama is a nickel-plated tool, all the way down to the bone.

That's the same thing I've been saying. And if a President Romney has a Republican Congress, they will be far too busy with other stuff to even think about anything like a gun control bill, not that they'd be inclined to send one to him anyway. He can't sign what doesn't get sent to him...and I'm sure HIS Justice Department will be told to stick to the rulebook.

Actually I believe that AK-47s belong elsewhere, as our soldiers already carry something else, or is he saying I'm in favor of soldiers opposing ours using AK-47s?

Or does he think that an AK-47 was used in the recent tragedy?
