Off Duty HPD arrives B4 police and shots armed man

At a local restaurant called Pepper's an armed man was shot by an off duty HPD who was called by a patron. He arrived before Pasadena PD could get there. Not a lot of detail in the story.

Ernie's moved again after the first move from where Pepper's took over. I gave Ernie's a lot of business to cater safety award meals for the operators on my units when I was working in the refinery business. Really good food, but I think the owner had some problems. They went out of business several years ago but they did open a limited hour restaurant recently.

There is an Ernie's Pit Barbecue in Greenville, TX. I believe it is still owned by Ernie's widow.

You see Ernie fell off of his tractor one day. Unfortunately, he was pulling a disc plow.

They still sell his signature sandwich, the Chopped Ernie.
