Google Goggles Anti-Gun

Post by knotquiteawake »

The Google Goggles app for smart phones is awesome. Take a picture of anything and it instantly finds other similar images on the internet. I took a picture of my border patrol ballcap and it instantly found where I can buy more. I took a picture of my keyboard and it found the same model for sale.
Then I took a picture of my seecamp .32 and it found nothing, I took a picture of my taurus .38spec snub revolver and it found nothing... This was with both of them on a white background.
Very interesting. I know they had made changes to google shopping but I didn't think it would apply to the google goggles too.

I took a picture of my coffee cup and got a picture of a dog, a skateboard and a toaster oven.
Apparently, Google is also anti-caffene. :smilelol5:

It did not recognized a bottle of diet Pepsi, so it must be a Coke sponsored app. :smilelol5:

Maybe it just is a lot less intelligent than i gave it credit for initially! It didn't even recognize my diet coke the first couple times. Oh well.

This doesn't surprise me. Google has already admitted that they are censoring searches when it comes to firearms and firearms related merchandise.

This is the reason I now use Bing.

I did a search for "high power" "double 9" on Google earlier tonight and it came up with all the usual auction sites. I would think that if it was going to censor anything it'd be by web site.

Just tried duckduckgo and bing and neither gave me good hits.
