A real samurai sword is worth a lot more money that the cash in a DQ.

He brought a knife to a gunfight -- FAIL!!!

I thought John Belushi died a quite a few years ago. Never saw Samurai Dairy Queen. :biggrinjester:

Seriously, that sword would do some serious damage! Good job by the clerk. :thumbs2:

This happened in my small town in 2001. I had worked with the victim previously, she was a kind and gentle woman.

The story does not show the video, thank God. Perp plead guilty to avoid the death penalty, and is doing life in prison.

So yes, someone bringing a large edged weapon into a store is nothing more than a target in my book.

So, where do you hang out in case I want to wear my Dad's masonic sword someday?

Of course the "newscaster" is wondering why an employee would have a gun at work and is trying to get DQ to respond as to their "weapons policy". :headscratch

As long as you are not brandishing, we're good. But don't mind my hand under my shirt gripping "something". ;-)

Yeah that little comment at the end of the video had me :mad5 :banghead:

Why are people like her so irresponsibly anti-2A? Would she and others like her rather have seen that DQ successfully robbed, or worse, someone getting impaled...rather than see someone defend themselves with a firearm?

Easy answer. Bad news sells papers and gathers viewers, good news...not so much.

Absolutely they would.

Why did he have his gun at work?

Easy answer: To be ready to adequately defend himself and others against a crazed,
samurai sword-wielding bad guy.

I bet DQ fires him, but he can get another job easier than another life.

Most DQ's I've visited are independently-owned franchises with seemingly very little oversight from corporate. I base a lot of this opinion on the great service and atmosphere at the Sweetwater location compared to the run-down dumpiness of the Eastland location. Those seem to be the two extremes in my book. The others fall somewhere in between.
