Apparently the TSA is now giving itself the job of patting down the rest of America outside the airports.
"As we have previously documented, airport security style checkpoints and inspection procedures are already in place at bus terminals, train stations, and are rapidly being expanded to the streets of America.
Agents have even been spotted roaming around at public events such as sports games and music concerts, and even at high school proms.
The TSA even moved beyond its own borders this summer as agents were dispatched to airports in London for the Olympic Games."

So this begs the question: as CHL holder, if you were traveling and stopped by the TSA on the highway at a check point (like they got involved with in TN last year) or at an event where TSA showed up to screen people and it is assumed that it is lawful to carry at said event, are you going to be obliged to 1) consent to a search 2) have your gun confiscated or 3) return to your car and leave your gun so it is not confiscated?
"If people think they can avoid the TSA by staying away from airports, they’re going to be in for a rude awakening. TSA is clearly engaged in a total takeover of society and plans to have its agents searching, patting down, scanning and harassing Americans at all levels of society, not just at transport hubs but at public events, in the street and on highways and roads across the country."
So if you were stopped at a highway checkpoint by the TSA, by law would you have to let them search the vehicle? Wouldn't that be considered and unlawful search without probably cause? Outside of an airport security line, can you say no to the TSA? Unless I am at an airport, hell would freeze over before I consented to let the TSA search my belongings or pat me down. I am really sick of government intrusions into my life.
