If a registered letter is returned to the DPS, they are required to post a notice n a news paper "of general interest in the county of the last known address"
Doew anyone know what paper is used for the Houston/Harris county area?

Re: DPS public notification in news paper
The Houston Chronicle seems more likely than The Daily Cougar but it looks like they might have some discretion. http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/D ... m#2051.044" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.
Re: DPS public notification in news paper
Legal notices - i.e., those required or regulated by state law, must be published in a Periodical - which is defined by state of Texas.
Houston Chronicle typically is periodical of record, BUT, any qualified, by law, periodical can meet the requirements of Public Legal Notices.
