It's Ugly, thats exactly what it is. But as far as the make and model AndyC hit the nail on the head. On a related and interesting note I am starting to see alot of product placement with them as of late. No where near as much as Glock but more than say Smith & Wesson. BTW, I like ugly guns and I am seriously considering one should one become available.

I think they're in the new Total Recall movie, too.

It is different and kind of futuristic looking. The holster for that thing must be huge. And I know it's TV, but do they really expect us to believe that little woman conceals that thing in the outfits she wears?

They probably used the gun because it looks futuristic or something. Never saw the show, so I don't know how she dresses.

I believe this is the first time I have ever seen her with a gun. Find it funny how she is always running after the BG's, who have guns and shooting at her, and she doesn't have one.

That is pretty funny. Just happened two or three episodes ago, she got shot at in Israel and went sprinting off after him with no weapon.

But no, to reiterate what JJVP said, she doesn't carry a gun on the show. The times she's had one it's been for a specific purpose or she took it from someone or otherwise acquired one. Since she appears to be wearing a vest in the screenshot and is next to someone in a tactical getup, I'm guessing this is a specific raid she's taking part in?

The show, in general, is more about manipulating people spycraft and less "Jane Bond". Used to watch it with the whole family, but it's gotten a little too sexed up this season for that. I don't mind... but I don't need my 10 and 12 year old daughters seeing it yet.

Had no idea. The only thing I've seen of this show are the commercials.

Piper is a cutie, but the show is definitely fluff.... Fun to watch but not realistic.
Good for when other shows (Justified.!) are on hiatus or in reruns.

If Andy hadn't identified it, I would have thought it was just a movie prop.

I don't see the logic in intentionally putting the center of the bore line any further below the sights than necessary and creating a greater mechanical offset. It's a revolver version of the AR platform rifles with iron sights. Since pistols/revolvers typically are used at much closer distances than rifles, this mechanical offset has a greater impact on combat accuracy. The lower bore line would reduce muzzle flip, but at the cost of flash sight picture/combat accuracy.

That, and, if you believe their marketing dept., it lets them make it lighter without adversely affecting recoil...
Chiappa Firearms wrote:The position of the barrel lowers the center of gravity and yields a centerline of the bore more in line with the shooter's arm allowing for the most natural "point ability" while engaging a target. This characteristic also drastically reduces both recoil and muzzle flip which insures subsequent shots to be on target faster than ever before. The reduction of the recoil allows for the use of ultra light alloys to be used in the construction of the Rhino minimizing any adverse effect.
No idea if it's effective or not. I've never shot (or even held) one.

I like the idea of a revolver with a rail - gives me a place to hang my laser, flashlight, and camera. :biggrinjester:

Maybe she does have one. Concealed is concealed. :)
