20 yo marijuana smoker uses AK-47 to shoot intruders.
I'm betting there's more to this than has been reported, so, I'll reserve opinion until more facts are made known.

Since the police went out of their way to say that having illegal drugs and a gun is a crime, it must not be a crime to have illegal drugs if you don't have a gun... Good to know, I guess...Police say the 20-year-old Prokay was within the law to shoot the intruder, but it's a crime in Utah to have a gun and illegal drugs.

I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

I have read elsewhere that a great many so-called home invasion incidents are drug related, the parties know each other or know of each other from drug transactions. Not many will attempt to bust into a residence they know is occupied unless it is drugs. If they are after money/possessions to sell for money, the criminals prefer unoccupied residences, generally. Of course, mistakes are not unheard of.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.
