I got this email and now I scared.

Post by BigGuy »

A guy on one of my biker boards got this e-mail and says, "I got this email and now I scared."
It was a big hit there. Lot of funny comments.
Guess the "I've got a million doller for you," scam isn't working so well any more.

I was thinking you should tell him you'll pay, but you have to wait until you receive your money from a certain Nigerian prince.

I'd send it to the FBI.

The only problem with replying to these idiots is that only encourages them. If you are going to do it, you have to use a secure, blind, email box, because you will get floods of replies from them and some will contain trojan horses and viruses.

A guy I worked with actually used his company email to reply and then when one of the scammers replied to him, he forwarded the conversations to the rest of the office. It was quite funny, with the scammer saying he had sent money by Western Union, but that it actually hadn't been sent and wouldn't until the fees were paid, but it had been sent so he coudn't send it some other way because it was in WU's hands, and no the local office would not know about it because the transaction number (provided) was only from their local office and not in the system yet because the fees hadn't been paid and no the fees could not be paid to the Texas office, but only by him in person, and not even by mail to his local office.

It went round and round for weeks with my co-worker coming up with more and more creative reasons and methods and the scammer getting more and more frustrated. My co-worker finally pointed out the the scammer had probably spent more in time than if he paid the fees himself and shut down the conversation and closed the email address.

Dear Mr Muhammad sadik,

Thank you so much for providing me with this generous offer. Through some fortunate circumstances I happen to be in possession of some money. I will promptly send you a check drawn upon a local Nigerian bank in the sum of $100,000 which is twice the sum you have asked for. If you would be so kind as to cash that check and remit the remaining $50,000 to me I think we shall all be satisfied with this deal.

For your information I have had to move recently and my new location is as follows:

FBI Headquarters
935 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, D.C. 20535-0001

Thank you for your consideration.

Reply with the following: Remind him that, in Texas, a threat to use offensive deadly force justifies a use of deadly force in self-defense. Ask him for his address so that you can go burn his house down with him inside it. Tell him he's going to have to get up early in the morning, pack a big lunch, and bring a lot of friends, otherwise he's picked on the wrong guy. Tell him you're grateful he contacted you because you've already killed all the predators in your county and you've been wanting to mount a terrorist trophy skull on your wall, but the little sissy-boys keep running off before you can gut them.......

....then sit back and see what develops.

I agree. Send it to the FBI. This goes way past scamming and is extortion.
