And on the Eighth Day...

Post by tobasco »

8 days after the web site status changed to "mailed", my CHL arrived. So it's almost midnight and I was planning to go to the grocery store anyway as I work an off shift and like to go when it's not busy. I put on my Glock 29 with Remora no-clip holster, step outside my house and the first thing I see is a police helicopter . At least that's the only type of helicopter I know that flies at night sweeping a searchlight.

I get in my car, reach the end of the block and see a cruiser with lights flashing blocking the entrance to one street. One block down another cruiser, same thing. I reach the store two blocks away and the HC seems to be following :eek6 . I pull in to the parking lot and am greeted by another cruiser with no roof lights or head lights that stopped and gave me the right of way. Inside the store the HC is flying low enough that I can hear it in the produce department.

Moral of the story,

- I could have asked for an easier first carry
- It's probably time to move because this is not the first time there's been a manhunt in my area
- CHL justified on day one?

If that isn't a rhetorical question, I'd say, "yes".

Congrats, welcome to the forum, and happy carrying. :txflag:

How could you get an easier one? They were out in force looking for someone dangerous so it would be silly to leave the house unarmed.
When in doubt
Vote them out!
