Ruger SR1911 at Academy- Houston

Not necessarily a for sale ad, but i stopped by the Academy off of I-10 and Bunker Hill in Houston and they have a Ruger SR1911 if anyone is intersted. I was very tempted but i stayed strong and walked out. Just wanted to let you guys know.

There's one at Academy in North Richland Hills also. I saw 2 at the gun show in ft worth this weekend so maybe they are starting to catch up with demand finally.

Awesome pistol by the way. Got mine a few months ago at my LGS in Spring. Paid $549 plus the Governors haircut fund. Gets all kinds of love when I take it to the range. Even used it for the CHL class.

I've got an SR1911 and love it. For the money, it's an amazing 1911 and the best looking one at its price point.

They are popping up like weeds around here. One of the gun shops has them for around $625. I like the looks and price of the Ruger but got tired of waiting and moved on to Volkmann and Colt customs.
