I don't mean to be callous, but I am very much against enabling addicts. A little pain is good for their souls. I feel badly for them. I really do. BUT, although they didn't vote for a storm to come along and wreck their lives, they DID vote for an inefficient and out of touch government to run their lives for them. The longer they have to suffer under the delusion that they have no responsibility for their own wellbeing because government is going to ride to their rescue, the more deeply they will come to realize that not only is government not predisposed to do so, but that neither is it efficient enough to do so when public opinion finally overcomes the inertia of government sloth.
If I had any friends or family who were individually suffering due to the storms, I would definitely offer to help them in any way I could. But I won't blindly give to people who have as much regard for me and my rights as the Taliban does.
If that makes me a jerk, so be it. They elected the Jerk in Chief.

Ah yes that looks like one use only. I was thinking of the different multi-use NRA advertisements/gifts.
