Traffic Tickets
quick question here,I recently completed my class room portion and went online to pay fee and do app..Well it ask you for the judgment and charging instruments on all certified documents of criminal history..WELL ,some were traffic tickets that i paid and they are so ole and out of state that they couldnt issue me any "certified documents"<BUT will send me the copy of it..Is that gonna be good enough? It was 22 yrs ago..And also i recently had a speeding ticket(dismissed) and a pending "passing in no passing zone" ticket...What should i do?? Do i have to report these traffick violations? Can i just tell them but not produce the "certified" documentation?? Any help would be great!!
Re: Traffic Tickets
Traffic tickets don't count for criminal history.
Only Arrests and Convictions count.

Re: Traffic Tickets
If the moving violations rise to the level of Class B misdemeanor or higher, I think they do have to be reported.
Re: Traffic Tickets
So dont even list them??

Re: Traffic Tickets
No, you don't need to report them unless you were actually arrested. Even then, I'm not sure how much the DPS cares as I had an arrest 6 years prior to my application (due to warrants over unpaid speeding tickets) and didn't report it but still got my CHL. If no arrests, traffic tickets are a Class C misdemeanor and the state is only interested in Class A and B convictions from within the last 5 years.
