Instructor Mistake on Form

Post by Techsan4 »

I recently took the Texas CHL class, and my instructor accidentally made a mistake on everyones forms. He put the correct date for the classroom portion, but the incorrect date for the shooting test. He sent everyone a message and told us that we could simply scratch out the wrong date, and write in the correct date. He said that he would notify the DPS and everything would be fine. Is this true? I am waiting a couple of months until after my birthday to send in the form so I hope to avoid any hiccups since I am already waiting longer than most. Thanks for any help.

1st welcome to the board. Glad to have another CHL holder.
Where abouts are you located??

On the scratch out & rewrite:
I dont think it will work. Any time I have made a mistake on a CHL100 I have redone it completely.
So far I have been blessed & none have got out of the classroom. My mistakes are the DL#. Get something out of order. :banghead:

One of the longer Instructors & especially Charles will be along before the day is done.

Don't take the chance. Ask the instructor for a new CHL-100. At the very least, HE needs to make the correction on the form, and then initial it.
