A question about the DPS website.

I found the spot where it says you can track the status of your application, but it also asks for a pin number. Do they generally e-mail these to you when they receive your application, or do you have to e-mail them and request a pin?

Your pin is on the front page of the application, if you applied on the website. If not, it will be mailed to you after the DPS receives your application. How long this takes varies, but 30 to 45 days seems to be common.
