Never happen. The infected pustule in the white house and his orc minions will see to it that the unions will maintain.psijac wrote:could this be the begining of the end for the UAW?![]()

Totally agree. The Democrats don't like to lose. They will continue to challenge and sue anyone and everyone until they get the outcome they want. Case in point, gay marriage in CA. Voters didn't pass the move to legalize gay marriage so they took the new law to court. In the end, UAW and the democrats will win this. It will just take time to make it through the court system.anygunanywhere wrote:Never happen. And if the idea had been challenged as being Unconstitutional when it was first brought up, we likely won't be in the mess that we are in today. Too many stood by and just allowed it to happen - like so many other pieces of Unconstitutional garbageDave2 wrote:I find the notion of a non-"right to work" state offensive to American ideas. Where does a supposedly limited government think it gets the authority to force people to join private organizations to which they don't want to belong? If private companies want to voluntarily enter into a contract with a union requiring them to only employ members of said union that's fine (though not a choice I'd ever make), but I can't see how the government ever thought it had the right or duty to get involved.
The idea that government employees have extortionist unions to represent them is an asinine concept from the beginning.Dave2 wrote:I find the notion of a non-"right to work" state offensive to American ideas. Even worse were the union comments about the "freeloaders" not paying Union dues and getting the benefits of union collective bargaining. Freeloaders? Really? Coming from the Democratic Party?karder wrote:What has been most disturbing to me is watching the way the Democrats and media have dealt with this. Obama trying to rile up the unions and Douglas Giess with his "there will be blood" statement. Can you imagine the feeding frenzy the media would have if any Republican made that kind of a comment about anything? Forcing someone to pay union dues if they want to have a job is the most un-American thing I can imagine. Every red state needs to make a concentrated effort to dismantle these gangs of mobsters and thugs.
