Need info on gun organizations

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Need info on gun organizations

Post by Wodathunkit »

I'm an NRA member, signed up 2 weeks ago. I'm going to send them some more money for good measure. I signed up for the Texas State Rifle Association today. I was wanting to know if anyone endorsed or could tell me about;

Gun owners of America

National Association for Gun Rights

Civilian Marksmanship program

Are these organizations worth endorsing?

Thanks for any advice.

If you want legislative impact, the NRAILA and TSRA are the ones that get results. If you want court cases, SAF.

If you want the idiots lambasted, GOA does a decent job. But they won't get anything actually changed.

NAGR is an absolute fraud. There is no organization, just a mailing list that attacks the NRA and asks you to send money to help him do it.

Some people like GOA -- I don't and never will. GOA has never accomplished a single thing.

I have always supported the NRA and also do have membership to GOA ,more folk poking the other side keeps them busy ;-)

I also support Judicial Watch ,they do a lot of digging for the truth.

I enjoyed watching Larry Pratt going head-to-head against Piers Morgan... in my opinion he stood on his own and put Mr Morgan in its place... but I am not familiar with what GoA has accomplished as an organization... I am not a member and will likely continue to send my contributions to the NRA and TSRA when possible.

I have also had a long term respect and fondness for the "Jews for Preservation of Firearms Ownership" at jfpo.org.

Never sent them money, however. That goes where it makes a difference: NRAILA and TSRA.
