Best and worst Christmas season...
I became a father on December 17 2012 to a beautiful 8pound 9 ounce baby girl. Due to the size of the baby my wife had to have a c-section. On Thursday evening we came home, and we found ourselves in the emergency room Friday night because my wife began to hemorrhage. My wife was given 2 transfusions Saturday (morning and afternoon) and is expected to be in the hospital until after Christmas and may need 2 or 3 more transfusions before being released.
My parents and her parents have been very helpful with things around the house and helping me care for my daughter so I can travel back and forth to spend time with my wife at the hospital for a couple of hours a day.
Please pray for the health of my wife and continued health of my baby girl and for me to retain my sanity in this very stressful holiday season.

Definitely praying. It is no fun to have to go right back into the hospital right after the birth. two days after out boy was born we were back in the hospital for 3 days because of his severe jaundice. Hospitals are awful places to spend holidays in. Praying for healing and quick recoveries.
Oh and CONGRATS! Being a dad is amazing! But also sometimes heart wrenching. But also sometimes more often frustrating and exhausting. But you get these special reminders of why its all worth it (for me it was a couple days ago when he said dada for the first time!).

Father in heaven, in this most joyious time of year and a time of thanks, we come to you to lift the spirits of this family and to lay your healing hands on this new mother so that she may enjoy the new life you have brought to them. I pray for comfort and patience for the new father in this time of distress. Amen.

Lord have mercy on you guys.
Re: Best and worst Christmas season...
Will pray for the speedy recovery of your wife and the health of the whole family. May this surgery go well and stem the bleeding. Congratulations on the birth of your daughter.

We will be praying for your precious family. Praise the Lord for those who have stepped in and are giving themselves to help you.
Re: Best and worst Christmas season...
Yeah I just wonder how I would be right now if I did not have the support and assistance from my amazing parents and in-laws.
I can guess but you never really know...
By the way the hospital I'm at is posted...so my security blanket has stayed locked in the car for almost a week.

Thank you all for your prayers
Quick update... Wife is out of surgery(as of the afternoon of the 24th) and on the road to recovery.Only a total of 2 transfusions so far and the doctor seems optimistic that she will not need a 4th but may still need a third( they are watching her blood counts and acting accordingly)
We will all be going to the hospital to spend Christmas afternoon with her and let her spend some time with her baby girl.
I saw her in recovery after the surgery and she asked to see her baby via FaceTime/Skype when I got home, she started crying when she saw our baby girl and it brought a tear to my eye knowing I am powerless to help her recover faster and reunite her with our week old daughter and has only spent 2 days with her.
