If we're going to be repealing amendments, let's repeal the 16th and 17th and amend the 22nd to include Senators and Congressmen.
The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation where the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. James Madison

Good luck with that.
These silly Congressman dream up all sorts of nonsense to get their names in the papers. Politicians don't believe they exist unless they are reading about themselves in the newspaper, which of course is an important source of fiction and always has been.
The terms of the President and Vice President are limited by the 22nd Amendment. Guess what! It takes an amendment to change that. An amendment needs 2/3rds of each house of Congress to approve it before it goes to the states to be ratified by 3/4s of them, either the legislature or by convention called for the purpose. They can also start with 2/3rds of the Legislatures.
It isn't that easy, mes amis.

US ConstitutionArticle. V.
The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.

JALLEN... you are, as usual, 100% correct.
It's just hard to believe these idiots even exist, much less out themselves in such a manner. Obviously an attempt to get on Obama's radar in order to have the opportunity to lick his boots some day.

It helps take what they are pleased to call their minds off the insolvable problems they and their predecessors have gotten us into, like the budget and other debacles of their own devising.

I’ve contacted my State Rep, Gary Elkins, about co-sponsoring HB560. Have you contacted your Rep?

Re: Proposing an ammendment to repeal the 22nd ammendment
The irony is that the 22nd Amendment was put in place, mainly by Democrats, who were scared by FDR's run... the same FDR whom years earlier they worshipped like Obama is today. Even those numbskulls realized how bad it could be.
Re: Proposing an ammendment to repeal the 22nd ammendment
But those were regular, old-fashioned Democrats, not the Progressive Commies who have usurped the Democratic party (and a number of so-called Republicans). The latter are more than willing to have a Lenin or Mao look-alike in power for as long as they can keep him there.Scott in Houston wrote:The irony is that the 22nd Amendment was put in place, mainly by Democrats, who were scared by FDR's run... the same FDR whom years earlier they worshipped like Obama is today.
