Larry Pratt vs. Piers Morgan (round 2)

This is a nice save after the Alex Jones debacle.

As you might have seen, Pratt went on PM's show back in December; Piers lost his cool and sounded like a lunatic. Subsequently, Piers played the "calm and rational" role as he tried to cast us all by the insanity of Alex Jones.

Pratt went back on PM's show and really held his own. He won in both content and in style. Piers boils over a few times but never quite goes off the deep end. He does become laughably petty.

PM claims he is only after the "assault rifles" and high capacity magazines.

On his show, he continues to use the following logic trail:
- America has 11,000+ gun murders each year
- England and Wales have 39 gun murders each year
- England and Wales are only 1/5 the size of the US, and those numbers are far less than 1/5 the size of gun murders.

He consistently says he's not supporting a full gun ban, however, the 2nd logic chain - without understanding other complexities and reality - would lead him to an outright ban. (He also has failed to see how guns prevent the other violent crimes. A rapist with a club or knife versus a college female with a club or knife is not equal-footing. The thug wins that almost every time. A gun is an equalizer for the weak and otherwise defenseless.)

A few times somebody pointed out that those 11,000 murders weren't caused by "assault weapons".

He immediately invokes the following attempt at a chain of logic:
- What did the shooter of Sandy Hook use?
- What did the shooter of the NY firefighters use?
- What did the shooter of the Oregon mall use?
- What did the shooter of Aurora use?
- Shouldn't we ban all AR-15s?

He misses other mass gun murders that didn't use AR-15s. He misses bombs and explosives. He misses whatever in the USA gun stat is the most ubiquitous.

He is utterly blinded by his agenda and cannot see how his solution will not impact his perceived problem at all.

They payoff in the video for me was when PM couldn't let it go without telling Pratt they weren't friends.

PM is obsessed. He's reduced his show to an anti-gun propaganda film. I know the anti's at CNN love it, but you have to wonder how long they'll let him relentlessly hunt his Moby Dick using their broadcast time. He's not going to relent on any point.

I admit there's a little bit of a Howard Stern / Rush Limbaugh effect going on. His ratings are probably through the roof. . . and the people who hate him are probably tuning in more reliably than those who adore him.

Piers Morgan, enough of you being like a Parrot and UK snub. You are just being destructed on your TV show and lost any sliver of credibility. Enough of misleading murder rate in UK. The 4th most violent criminal country in Europe. I believe you count those London rioters as peace loving hippies who are having a night of torch and fun, burning down your lovely London.

When defeated, Piers declares his guest as "not-a-friend of mine", that means his enemy. Mr. Piers, in US there are 4,000,000+, NRA members whom you may also consider none-of-your friends. Thus, you declared your animosity to 4,000,000 persons in your guest home country, where you make your living by spreading your lies.
You are not only an idiot, but a rude and an arrogant liar too.
