More Info on the DiFi Bill --from a DiFi staffer

A little inside glimpse from Feinstein's office about new AWB.

For what it's worth....among the discussion, is this little nugget of the "intelligence" used to determine what is banned (but read the whole article for some specifics):
At first, he thought the M1-Carbine would be safe, but then he googled a picture of it. Basically, if he saw a magazine sticking below the body of the gun, and if it is a semi-auto, it's banned.
Edited to add:
He specifically brought up the Kel-Tec KSG as an example of something that they wanted to ban even though it's not semi-auto, so even though the bullet points on Diane's website don't mention extended tubes on pump guns or any other features like pistol grips on them, that doesn't mean they're going to be safe if she gets her way.

I've wondered if the M1 Carbines C&R status might help it get off the list.

I am well aware (being from Kali) that C&R does not trump evil banned features in the state so the carbines were safe unless they had the paratrooper side folding stock or you tried to put a >10 rd mag in it.

I remember reading somewhere (don't recall anymore) that the M1 Garand was in the cross hairs of the antis back in the day but cooler heads in law enforcement pointed out that there was no recorded incident of one ever being used in a crime so they should just let it go and stop being so hysterical.

By gone era when people weren't so hysterical about daily life and the fact that bad things happen.
