State Senate 6

Post by psijac »

Mario Gallagos died before November but his name was not taken off the ballot. Carol Alvarado (D) is running for the empty seat. is there a republican challenger friendly to gun rights and open/campus carry? whennis the run off election?

I hope conservatives in Houston can agree on a candidate and get out the vote while the socialist vote is split or resting on its laurels. He was a key opponent of women being able to protect themselves from campus rapists and Texas students and professors can't afford another opponent of school safety in the Texas Senate. Especially this session.

For anyone planning to vote early, they're not using the normal early voting locations, so don't go to the multi-service center on West Gray expecting to vote. :oops:

Go to one of these places instead! http://www.harrisvotes.org/EarlyVoting/EVL.aspx?L=E" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.

I actually called everyone on the list.

4 of them didn't answer though 2 promptly called me back. Carol Alvarado is the only one who had a staff member answer my question.

Of course everyone that I talked to said they believe in the second Amendment, except the person who said they support Obama's stance on gun control, and I probed no further

I think I will vote for R.W. Bray according to him poverty is the leading cause of gun violence. He did say he had no problem with campus carry but could change his mind if someone proved it was bad. One candidate had a slightly better answer but that person was also in favor of closing the "gun show loophole"
