Texas threatens to arrest any Feds who try enforcing regs.

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Chance favors the prepared. Making good people helpless doesn't make bad people harmless.
There is no safety in denial. When seconds count the Police are only minutes away.
Sometimes I really wish a lawyer would chime in and clear things up. Do we have any lawyers on this forum?

Nuthin' I like more than a good ol' Constitutional crisis. Helps cleanse the arteries and renew freedom.
The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation where the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. James Madison

I don't know that it would ever fly but I love to see this type of thinking from our representatives.

This is a mess waiting to happen. How will this play out with both sides thinking they have the authority to arrest the other (after Texas LEO tries to arrrest federal officer and the fed resists)?

When I read that, I drew in good Texas air in my lungs. Hallelujah for Texas Patriots. I know it would be difficult if not impossible to enforce, but still it is the beginning of a statement.
Unless we keep the barbarian virtues, gaining the civilized ones will be of little avail. Oversentimentality, oversoftness, washiness, and mushiness are the great dangers of this age and of this people." Teddy Roosevelt"

I don't know but I think it's a great thing that there are those representatives that have the cajones to stand up for our 2nd Amendment rights and stick it to those that want to tread on them.

My first post and I am glad it is on something that I am so glad to see even if it is to something as reprehensible as our current Federal Situation.

Good to be in Texas :txflag:

I have been out of LE for many years, but I don't think the demographics of who are our LEO's has changed that much. While our LEO's are charged with enforcing the law, I personally think you would see the majority walk off the job before they started to enforce outlandish laws on gun control.
I don't see a whole lot of action coming out of the WH. Even the majority of the Dems don not want to get sideways with the NRA.
What we will see today is items dealing background checks, even in the private sale. I think we will see background checks for sales at gun shows and stuff like that.
Time will tell.

I wonder what the BATFE agents will think about Texas roadside cavity searches?
