I recently took my class at Bullet Trap in Plano. Mailed in my packed in Feb and received confirmation that Austin received it. I went to the DPS website to check status and then realized I need to know the CHL license (application) #.
Stupid question, how do I get the number after I mailed it in? Funny thing is I usually make a copy of everything before i mail it.
Without having the ability to check, I'll just wait.............

PIN Letter
You will get a letter with the PIN and it will contain you application number which will be your license number as well.

Big day today, went to Bullettrap to shoot.
Then I got the mail and my PIN number is there., it has my application #, everything. THE DPS website shows "processing application", must be getting close. Is it time to buy a IWB holster?
2/20 - DPS received application
3/9 - date of PIN letter
3/22 - PIN received in mail
