The Department of Homeland Security has released their 2011 "Analysts Desktop Binder," detailing how the department has been monitoring activity on the internet and social networks.

That "The Guardian" was listed as a trusted international news source is proof enough for me, all by itself, that the people running that don't care about actual terrorism and just want to spy on folks. "The Guardian" is so leftwing that the only person on THEIR left is pretty much Karl Marx himself.

I'd be willing to bet that a disproportionate share of the monitoring time and activities falls into this category, relative to the other situations listed.
