Houston: beer distributor assassinated at home

On Friday a Houston man was fatally shot when he answered the door of his home in the 1800 block of Portsmouth in the Montrose neighborhood. His wife and children were home at the time. No one else was injured, and nothing was taken from the house.

The 35-year-old man had built a successful specialty beer distributing business.

Police also acknowledged that [the victim] had been involved in some business lawsuits in the past with family members that were settled out of court.
