Insanity on GunBroker

Post by ddstuder »

Someone actually paid $330 for a pound of Blue Dot!
That is $0.047 per grain.

Guns are like parachutes, if your ever in a situation that you need one and you dont have one, you'll probably never need one again.

I bought an XDM at Cabela's for $650 about a month or so ago. That same day, my exact gun went for $1025 on Gunbroker. I am kicking myself for not turning around and selling it.

Somebodys got more money than brains or had imbibed a little too much tequila before visiting gunbroker,Just because it sold I'd be holding my breath until I had the funds confirmed in my account
It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end-to-end, someone would be stupid enough to try to pass them

Ive been watching GB on and off for a few years
The prices there have been out of control as long as I can remember
Ive rarely seen things I was interested in sell for what I would consider reasonable prices
Then you add in the FFL fees if its a firearm and the prices is even higher....

Assuming the bids and sales are all real - then there is a TON of people on that site that have more $$ then sense

I was not making fun of you. That was just the picture that I got from reading your post.
I bet 24 lbs of smokeless powder would make a large long flame.
I have put a match to about 1/2 pound of powder I got in a box of misc. reloading stuff I bought and it made a nice quick hot fire. I hated to do that, but I won't use an unknown half used powder I know nothing about. It was an old 1 pound jug of Unique.
I even poured a trail of powder like in the movies :biggrinjester:

I burned up some powder a friend gave me also because it was unknown...
Turned out it was some kind of black powder and went up in a flash and burnt the heck out of my hand.
