Ted Cruz does it again

Post by baldeagle »

This press release was read at Larue Tactical by Senator Cruz. Can we clone him?

Sure, can we do it 99 times? If not, I'll be happy with 50 more times to give us the majority. :biggrinjester:

The one thing about all this is, he is drawing all kinds of attention from the other side. For a junior senator, I think he is doing an awesome job.

The Texas Constitution allows for the breaking of Texas into 5 Smaller states without Congressional approval. Which would quintupled our representation in the Senate.

Unfortunately, this would not have a positive effect. If Dallas were in one of the states, Houston in another one of them, and San Antonio and Austin are in one, we could count on three states that are similar to Illinois and New York where the will of urbanites is imposed upon those in rural areas. Texas is slowly heading towards this happening anyway as a singular state.

I had 1 issue with his speech and wrote the below.
In your recent speech at La Rue you stated "the Second Amendment is a constitutional right of every American " as I understand it the2A is a right given to us by our creator(God,Buddha,ET, whoever), which is to be protected by the constitution, not granted by. Other than that great job keep up the fight.
maybe I am being hyper-critical but when thing are repeated enough they become a common understanding and that which the constitution grants it can also take away and as long as people believe it is granted by the Gov't then it will be easier to take away.

I would be happy with 9 times and fill the Supreme Court with Teds. :thumbs2:

The angrier Sen. Cruz makes the establishment, the bigger my donation to his campaign fund.

The Constitution assumes that these rights exist because they are "God given" or given by "nature's God." If you are an atheist and not comfortable with that, then you could say it thusly: we have these rights because we live and breath, and the existence of these rights predates any government. The Constitution merely codifies those rights because part of the job of the government is to preserve, protect, and promote them. Without their being codified, government can arbitrarily decide which it will support and/or crush.

The right to keep and bear arms is a human rights issue.......AS MUCH as any other human rights issue. Anyone who feels that parts of it can be carved out and removed is coming from exactly the same moral center as those who promote racial and gender inequality (both of which often overlap with "gun-control").

Maybe next time I will have you write my letter it sounded much better your way.
