CHL-78C Form Supplemental Information?

In 1998 when I was 13yrs old I was arrested for felony theft and sentenced to 1yr probation and 40hrs community service. I called juvenile probation and got the required info to fill out the form with. Now on the bottom in the box that says Supplemental Information it says I must submit certified copies of all charges ect ect. I called juvenile probation back and they said to get certified copies I must go before a judge and motion the court to release my juvenile record to the DA and have them certify it for me. This will require me to take off work and just be a huge hassle.

I do have the original 7 pages that the court gave my parents, it is signed by the county clerk, assistant DA, and juvenile dept. Would this be enough to satisfy them? I tired to call today after work but they were no longer taking calls due to high call volume. I called yesterday and was on hold for 30mins then got disconnected. I sent them a email and have yet to get a response.

My arrest was nearly 15yrs ago and I just want to give them everything they need to give me my CHL.

What should I do?

DPS will want certified copies of your records. Here is one viewtopic.php?f=36&t=62908" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; from 20 years ago and they sent the OP a letter requesting further documents. I don;t think the OP originally sent anything in and if you provide everything you have, that may be enough.

A couple things to consider though if it is not enough for them since they are not certified:

1. once they kick it back to you, they then have 120 (I think) days to continue processing your app
2. you only have 90 days to submit the requested info before you are denied or closed and loose your app fee

You may be able to take what you have, go to the courts and get them to provide a certification letter that the docs you have are good.

If all I have to do is go down to Juvenal probation and request a copy of my record and mail that then thats fine. Now having to set a court date and and all that bull is alittle much in my opinion. I never thought I would have to jump through so many hoops and pay all these fees in a state that is very pro 2A.

Im going to call DPS tomorrow right at 8am and see if a letter from juvenile probation will work.

Called DPS and they said I did not have to go through all that, they just need a paper saying what I did and my sentence also to make sure I sis all my probation ect. So I called juvenile probation and they will have to get a judge to release that info and then it will be emailed to me early next week.
