21-year-old protects family, kills suspect during home invas

Post by CainA »

Another story closer to home than the one in the VA thread. Very similar, 3 bad guys, but this time only 1 got killed.

This is ridiculous.
A 21-year-old man took drastic action to protect his family Thursday night when three suspects barged into their northwest Harris County home.

The young man was home with his mother and father in the 3900 block of Brook Garden when three unknown, armed men forced their way into the house around 8 p.m., according to Harris County Sheriff’s deputies
Three armed men break into their home and he "took drastic action" by shooting them???

Could you possibly be more biased?

Here's another take on the same story, not so 'drastic' or biased.

Looks like it has been edited:

Must have gotten a chorus of complaints - rightly so.

The media just can't resist painting anyone who has a gun as a bad guy. However they report it, I like the outcome. Home invasion has got to be one of the most frightening threats I can think of. The more of these violent criminals we can eliminate, the better. IMHO. :tiphat:

By the way... Here is another version of the story. Doesn't appear as biased toward the bad guys. They did put a picture of a revolver smoking with this version. I got a kick out of that aspect.

I have trouble getting past this line
the 21-year-old grabbed his father’s gun with the intention of fatally shooting one of the intruders

I caught that as well. My first thought when I read it is that I hoped the young man didn't use those words when giving his statement to police.

Here's a much better approach to the story: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/02 ... intruders/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
One suspect is dead after a quick-thinking 21-year-old man sprang into action and grabbed his father’s gun to fend off three armed intruders and protect his parents in Texas.
