Two stabbed at Houston gun range parking lot

Near as I can tell multiple people were breaking into cars at a gun range parking lot.

They were confronted by one of the patrons of the gun range.

Two of the multiple people ended up stabbed.

Did I read this correctly? It somewhat defies logic. But appears to have a satisfactory ending. Even my anti gun friends will say "see no one needed a gun and the BG's did not die".

Bad guys would have gotten themselves shot if this were me. I guess they are lucky none of the people nearby were CHLs that had their carry gun on them. I always reload my SD rounds and reconceal before heading back to my vehicle.

That happened at the Carter Country near Spring...those folks breaking into the cars, and who got stabbed, are real lucky they didn't get shot...

I for one always have one of my daily carry guns in place when I go to the range. This allows me to practice with the other while remaining armed at all times.

One of the car owners came out and confronted the suspects in the parking lot, deputies said. He reportedly stabbed several of the suspects.
So the Victim stabbed the suspects?

The article says the BG's got stabed.
I'm OK with that.

Wow, sorry. I flipped that in my head and thought the BGs did the stabbing upon being confronted. However, my pocket knife would not have been my first choice if they came at me, but maybe that was this guy's best or only choice.

If within touching distance, a knife properly wielded can be far more damaging than a handgun. Easy to rip open very large holes that bleed profusely.

Would like to hear more on the 'stabbed several' part. :headscratch

A gun range parking lot? That would be a target rich environment for crooks. I wonder why the victim went out and confronted them with a knife when he was at a shooting range? Did anybody present have a handgun or CHL? Why they didn't help? But they may have made a wise decision to call 911 and be good witnesses vs. taking on several suspects :thumbs2: . Glad he made it out OK.

True, but my handgun is quicker to deploy than my knife.

Here is what a witness said really happened..

NOT WHAT HAPPENED! I was there when it happened.. ONE guy was breaking into a company vehicle. owner of vehicle came out and saw him in his van, he opened the door to slam it into the guys face, they fought for a few moments, with the horn going off, ppl came outside. the thief ran, the guy that found him in his van was screaming "SHOOT HIM!!" and a younger guy and others chased this guy down the street and the younger guy stabbed the thief. there were not multiple people. this is why i hate this news group, this is not the only story they have gotten wrong and im sure it wont be the last.
