Speedsix?

Anyone know what happened to Speedsix? Haven't seen any posts from him in a while.

His profile shows his last visit as being Thu Jun 28, 2012 12:24 pm and his last post was 5 days before that. :headscratch

I figured he was like a shooting star. Burst brightly upon the scene, posted 5600 messages in less than 18 months, and then flamed out after he realized how much time he was killing.

But that is just a guess. I PM'd him last summer and he never read it.

I have been in occasional email communication with him. He's doing fine. He just got tired of some of the bickering and attitudes of some members, and he decided that at his age he had better things to do. No finger pointing is necessary. I think he's happier.

I too sometimes take short breaks like that. Maybe only a day or three or more, but I can understand where he's coming from. I do eventually return because there's so much good information to keep up with here.

I took a break from the forum too to pursue other topics not covered here. I have since got up to speed in other areas that needed my attention but with current political climate and all the pending legislation its hard to stay away. I have found this still to be the best source of aggregated information and discussion with a higher caliber (pun intended) of folks that on many other gun related forums.

Even with the lively discussions, I keep coming back for more abuse. :biggrinjester:

I think thats what makes a good forum, legitimate debate over valid issues, the bickering I think stems from the fact we take the discussions seriously and are passionate about what we believe, occasionally we regress to childish behavior then kiss and make up :cheers2:

I wish other gun owners would take the issues as seriously as we do, what a difference that would make. :patriot: I know lots of gun owners who still don't get what the 2A is all about. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

On a side note: You are not obligated to read or reply to every post, if you think something is way out there you can just ignore it if you like or if you feel you must disagree do it in a non personally attacking way and provide legitimate arguments not just "I know you are but what am I" :bigmouth . But if you throw your hat into the ring just try to be a big boy and expect some difference of opinion.
Chance favors the prepared. Making good people helpless doesn't make bad people harmless.
There is no safety in denial. When seconds count the Police are only minutes away.
Sometimes I really wish a lawyer would chime in and clear things up. Do we have any lawyers on this forum?

:iagree:

I'm OCD about that. He was the only forum member on my ignore list. I'm fine with ellipsis, but all the time is too much.

Thanks for the update, TAM. I've often wondered what happened to him and was hoping he was all right. While his comments are missed, better to know that he is happy.

Glad to hear all is well. TAM, the next time you communicate with him let him know he is missed.
