Status says "mailed" did not get anything in the mail.

How long between mailed and actual plastic in hand? I do not want to over react and start calling DPS if it is in :totap: :totap: USPS hands.

Mine said mailed on a Tuesday or Wednesday, but I didn't get mine until the following week. I wouldn't be surprised if they only do mail one day a week, just a hunch.

Mailed means it has been placed in the stack to be mailed. That does not mean that USPS has it even in hand. Give it a week and then start inquiring.

Guidance from DPS when I inquired was that I needed to allow 10 days after status changed to mailed to receive my CHL...

Hang in there!

Last fall, the average was about a week from "Mailed" to plastic-in-hand. So now, 10 days should be the norm.

And then don't expect too much... my renewal was over a week late after being "mailed" so I inquired as to how long I should wait to report it not received... and they still haven't responded to my web submission or voice mail. (and that was several weeks ago)

This is what I think too. Mine switched to mailed on a Monday morning. It arrived in the Friday mail.

Yes mailed means sitting in mail room for postmark and shipment. It can take 7-9 days (or less in many cases) from the time 'mailed' appears online.

Mine went mailed on a Sunday and I received the following Friday (and I live in Austin).

It's the longest wait of the whole process, but hey you know it's coming :clapping:

A status saying "mailed" is a whole lot better than a status saying "denied"!

Still waiting. Status indicated mailed, like 6 days ago.

I noticed you live in the same basic area I do. Mine took about four days from status change mailed to arrival. Another feller on this forum showed mailed one day after me and took six days.

I really think Keith has a good point. I don't believe they are actually mailing them on the day the status says mailed. I think they put them all in a big pile and send them out once a week or so.

They told us mailed just means sent to the mail room, and can still be up to 2 weeks.
