Free CHL for Teachers in DFW

Post by Chris »

This is pretty cool of them to do; offering a free CHL course to teachers. They are prepared for up to 1000 teachers.

Wow! I wish I could attend that class.

My wife has finally indicated an interest in getting her CHL, but I have to get her more comfortable with shooting first. She and I have discussed this, and have decided that it will be better for both of us if we make arrangements for someone else to teach her.

Now I just have to find ammunition in sufficient quantities.....

Good decision!! I always recommend that you get the family relationship out of the picture! Had one guy who is an instructor send his mother-in-law to me! But he is a good son-in-law--he immediately started looking for a gun for her like mine that she liked!

I think we have encouraged about four teachers from my kids' school to take it. It makes me feel a lot better knowing that there will be teachers on campus with guns available. While one may not be on their person, due to school policy, it's nice to know there will at least be guns in the cars, and some teachers not afraid to use them. I commend those teachers for accepting such a huge responsibility in pursuit of the preservation of young lives.
