Federal judge: law does not require superhuman reflexes

Post by A-R »

Austin PD officer cleared of excessive force claim in Federal lawsuit.

Officer fired 14 rounds in 2.86 seconds.

“There is no dispute that Bowman was in fear for his life, and it would have taken preternatural reflexes and apprehension of what was unfolding for Bowman to have ceased fire any sooner than he did,” he said. “The law does not require such superhuman qualities.”
