FL: 4-year-old fatally shot, possibly by another child

In Miami, Florida, yesterday, three children under the age of 10 were in a vehicle when someone fatally shot a 4-year-old girl. Police believe that one of the children found a handgun in the car.

The owner of the weapon and the car was not present at the time. No one has been charged as of press time today.

Nobody wants to hear this kind of incident, but every one is a reminder of the price of negligence or cavalier attitudes—if the initial report is correct.

Police are now saying that the 4-year-old shot himself in the chest. No one has been arrested or charged.
