Repka's in Brookshire. This is a place where everyone sits at long tables and they bring the mudbugs out by the pound in cardboard boxes. Lots of Lawyers/Doctors on their Harleys go there. Good prices and good people. Very casual. HEB always has a good supply.

My favorite place to eat them is my friend Greg's back yard. His wife is from NOLA.

As a matter of principle, I quit buying them as they're now so overpriced I'd rather pay just a little more and buy shrimp.

With fresh shrimp, you get a lot more bang for the buck and a heck of a lot less work.

I use to buy two 35lb or so sacks of crawfish every season.

No more.

My favorite place to eat them is my backyard...

I used to go to Winnie to get them from Southeast Texas Crawfish Farms (I think that was the name)...

Now I usually get them from HEB...

Getting hungry for some now...

The best place in the Houston area is The Crawfish Shack in Crosby. They are huge and seasoned very well, the place is BYOB so no chance of 51%. They are where I buy mine live but if I need a fix on crawfish and don't feel like boiling 100 pounds I eat 'em there.

Cajun Charlie's in Sulphur, Louisiana.

They also have an All You Can Eat Buffet with Alligator Nuggets :hurry:

K-Jun Shack on 1485 at the railroad tracks in New Caney.

Great food, great folks, always a good time.

A friend of mine's step dad runs Big Daddy's crawfish. He does more volume than anyone else in Houston, and has the best products IMHO.
