In Montgomery County (Houston suburbs) an 84-year-old woman who was in jail awaiting prosecution on a felony theft charge tried to get in touch with a hit man. As so often happens, an undercover police officer approached her. She allegedly solicited the murder of one prosecutor and maiming of another.
[The suspect] agreed to pay the undercover officer $5,000 to kill [prosecutor] Robert Freyer and $2,500 to put District Attorney Brett Ligon in the hospital for “two to three weeks.”
She is now charged with solicitation of capital murder.
