Kevin And Sabine Jones...

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Kevin And Sabine Jones...

Post by stevie_d_64 »

Kevin, Sabine and I served together in the Southeast Volunteer Fire Department in our nieghborhood for many years...

Early Monday morning their son Austin was killed in that accident (He was the Dobie high school student reported killed yesterday)

They live a few houses down the street from us, and we know them very well...

For all the years I've done this firefighting thing, you tend to cut off emotions and strive to help when and where you can when you answer the call...

But when its one of your own, it kinda hurts a little deeper...

All I know that it was quick...But their pain will remain for quite some time...

Austin was 18, and was lined up to do professionally, what we volunteered to do...He was waiting for his spot at the fire academy and would have done very well...

I ask that y'all keep Sabine and Kevin and the kids in your thoughts as they get through this terrible time in their lives...

It is amazing though how many people showed up down there at the station last night...I think that really helped them a lot...

The viewing is on Wednesday at 5pm to 8pm at the Niday FH on Beamer Rd. near Scarsdale...

Funeral will be Thursday morning, don't have the details on that yet...

I keep coming back in here and I'm still bummed about the whole deal...

Kevin and Sabine are going to need a lot of support through this...
