I am so glad to hear of someone getting their license so quickly [30 days]. I just took my course on Saturday, and got the packet in the mail to Austin today, but I did make a mistake. I sent it First Class mail with NO proof attached [certified, return receipt, or even delivery confirmation]. I'm a little nervous, but I'll check the status of the application by the end of the week. I paid the fee and requested the packet online, so I already have my pin and everything.

I wonder if working for the government and having a security clearance already will speed up my application? Shouldn't it do the same for military personnel as well?

I guess my mileage may vary, because I see some other folks on this forum experienced at least a 60 day wait. It's probably slower during peak times. I also hope my photos and everything were ok. I'm a little apprehensive, but at the same time so anxious to get my license!

Congrats!
