Jonesboro, GA is in Clayton County, which is just south of downtown Atlanta.
The above link contains a news video with footage of the house where the burglars were discovered.
The homeowner opened fire on the burglars, killing 1 of the teenagers with 1 round to the torso.
Notice that the neighbor being interviewed says that he didn't hear the shots because they were fired
inside the house...but then notice there's a bullet hole in the mailbox. The bullet hole may have been
there already, but if it was fresh then the gunfight may have moved from "in the house" to "front yard."
Being that this was Georgia, the LEO's will probably give the GG an "attaboy" for some good shooting.

The bullet hole in the mailbox was rusted, so I would assume it was already there. The part I think is odd is that they claim the police are trying to determine if the dead suspect was involved in the burglary. Like the home owner decided to shot someone other than one of the three burglars
